Simplex Compressorised Units:
Each unit sized and built according requirements. This is less energy efficient than multiplex units as each cold room or cabinets compressor run at 100% capacity. Ideal for remote areas as it can be maintained by less skilled technicians.
Multiplex units are available in indoor and outdoor units, according requirement and conditions. Some of our installations below:
Multiplex Compressorised Units:
This is ultimate energy saver in supermarket, packhouse and other industrial refrigeration applications. It has more capital cost but less running and maintenance cost. It is more complex and need skilled technicians to maintain.
Outdoor Multiplex Units:
Multiplex units are available in indoor and outdoor units, according requirement and conditions.
Some of our installations below:
Offloading of outdoor multiplex (4 x 40hp compressors) with evaporative condenser, providing 400kW for packhouse chiller rooms
Indoor Multiplex Installations:
Satellite compressors are commonly used on our installations in different ways. On a medium temp rack the satellite is used for low temp (freezers) and on a low temp rack the satellite used for ultra low temp (ice cream or other products). The rack has a common discharge line, condenser and liquid line, but the satellite compressor has its individual suction line. Another common practice on our rack installations are unloaders on compressors with a variable speed drive on the leading compressor and satellite compressor.
Note the clean plant room floors and neat pipe work
4 x 20hp Copeland stream compressors and hot water recovery; 3 x 20Hp for medium temp & 1 x 15hp satellite for low temp
1 x 4 compressor rack for medium temp ( 4 x 35hp) ; 1 x 4 compressor rack for low temp (1 x satellite for ultra-low temp)
Heat recovery for hot water without electricity:
Hot water recovery from multiplex rack. Water heated with plate heat exchanger between compressor rack and condenser. A 1000 litre insulated vessel holds enough hot water for most supermarkets and butcheries. With full capacity from the rack, water temperature can be maintained at 40 to 60 °C. It may happen that not enough heat recovery take place during winter time or when compressors run at reduced capacity; additional electrical elements are then put in as backup for the plate heat exchanger. There is still a huge saving on electricity.
